President Pranab Mukharjee expressed great concern about the degradation of higher education in India. He said, though we have a number of Universities to impart quality education but not a single institute is coming under the category best 200 universities in the world. Even the Knowledge Commission has reported on the deterioration of quality education in the country. So it is time to develop Indian Universities to achieve global benchmark.

National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) has achieved the highest-ever metal production of 4.31 lakh tones in 2009 and 2010, against the previous best of 3.61 lakh tones in 2008 and 2009, with 19.4 per cent increase.
