Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) is the loss of ovarian function before age 40, a condition that greatly reduces a woman's ability to get pregnant with her own eggs. Egg donation is the most successful treatment option for women with POF. Complications of premature ovarian failure include infertility, Osteoporosis and depression or anxiety. Infertility is harder to treat in women with premature ovarian failure.
