More than a dozen prominent Urdu poets from various far flung areas of nation enthralled the audience on the second and final day of 10th Mohan Lal Bhaskar Art and Theatre Festival held at local Manav Mandir Senior Secondary School on Monday late night.

While the programme commenced by lighting the lamps and showering flowers at the picture of Mohan Lal Bhaskar by Prabha Bhaskar, patron-in-chief of the foundation, Mohinish Chawla, DIG (Ferozepur range), Amar Singh Chahal, DIG(Bathinda range), Mohammad Tyab, Deputy Commissioner, Faridkot, Amit Kumar, ADC(G), Nilima, ADC(D), Parambir Singh Parmar, SSP (V) Ferozepur, Additional District and Session Judge Rakesh Gupta, CJM Madan Lal, Lakhbir Singh SP(H) Ferozepur, Harjinder Sidhu, Media Advisor to Dy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal, Gursewak Singh Kaish Man, SAD(B) leader and Anumit Heera Sodhi, Congress leader,.

In the meantime, localize Himanshu Aggarwal who secured 28 Place in UPSC civil services exams was conferred 'Young Achiever Award' while Editor of Punjabi Newspaper "Nawan Zamana" Jatinder Pannu was awarded with Life Time Achievement award.

A galaxy of Urdu poets including Janab Munawara Rana, Janab Munawar Rana, Lucknow, Janab Johar Kanpuri, Kanpur, Mohtarma Shabina Adeeb, Kanpur, Janab Ritaz Maini, Ludhiana, Janab Malikjaida Javed, Noida, Janab Shakeel Aazmi, Mumbai, Janab Nadeem Shad, Deoband, Janab Nafas Ambalvi, Ambala, Janab Nadeem Farooq, Eta, Janab Iqbal Asher, Mumbai, Janab Musawar Ferozepuri, Chandigarh and Janab Kashish Hoshiarpuri, Hoshiarpuri

The couplets of various poets which received special round of applause include;

"Sb Mil ke Awaj Uthaye Tu kuch Chand Pr Zor Pde: Main Tanhan Jugnu Hu Mere Chilane Se Kya Hoga" by Naidm Shad.

"Shehar Me tum Paraye Lagte Ho, Zindagi Se Sataye Lagtee ho", by Kashih Hoshiarpuri.

"Ab To Mr Jata Hai Rishta Bhi Bure Waqto pr, Pehle Mr Jate The Rishto Ko Nibane Wale", Shakeel Azmi.

"Tamam Umer Ek Dusre Se Ladte Rhe: Magar Mree to Braber Me Jakar Leit Gye".

It is worth to mention that the event was organised in the memory of former Indian Spy in Pakistan, Mohan Lal Bhaskar who while working an agent with Indian Security agencies intruded sixteen times to Pakistan but held on seventieth visit due to breach by a double cross agent. He was awarded death sentence by a Pakistani court but higher court reduced it to fourteen years of imprisonment and he was repatriated under Shimla agreement on December 9 1974.

Later on, he narrated his experiences in the various jails of Pakistan in an autobiography under the title Under The Shadow of Bayonets and Bars which was awarded Saansad Sri Kant Verma National Award in 1989 by then Vice President of India.
This book had been also published in various ten languages of India.
