9 master athletes from Odisha headed to Kuala Lampur for AMAC 2010

as many as 9 master athletes from Odisha headed to Kuala Lampur to participate in the 16th AMAC -2010.

AS MANY as nine sportspersons; master and veterans have been selected for the 16th Asian Master Athletics Championship-2010 to be held at Kuala Lampur of Malaysia.

The 16th Asia Masters Athletics Championships will be held in Bukit Jalil Stadium, Malaysia from 6-12 December 2010. The main purpose of this event is to keep the master athletics, from 24 Asian countries which is affiliated with Asian Master Athletics (AMA), fit and healthy and a reunion of old friends.

Fortunately, as many as 9 master athletes from the state have been selected to participate at the AMAC 2010.

Gopal Chandra Panda in the age group of 45 plus (Male) would be participating in High Jump and Poll Volt, Sukanti Patra (40 plus Female) in 800, 1500 run, Lalta Rani Dash (55 plus Female) in 300
hurdle, 800, 400 and1500 run, Aruna Kumar Patra (35 plus Male) in 5K Walk, Sujit Kumar Mohanty (45 Plus Male) in 100, 200, 400 and 800 run, Durga Charan Mishra (65 plus Male) in SP, DT and JT, Nabin Chandra Nayak (70 plus Male) in SP, DT and JT and while Sundar Mani Barik (50 plus M) has been selected in 100 run and High Jump.

Four; Gopal Chandra Panda, Sukanti Patro, Lalta Rani Dash and Arun Kumar Patra, out of these 9 veteran master sports persons, are from Berhampur.
