Aam Aadmi Party starts "Punjab Jodo" campaign in Punjab from Ferozepur

On the directions of National President, Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal's guidelines, AAP workers today started 'Punjab Jodo' campaign in Ferozepur by holding a press conference.


Speaking to the media persons, Pankaj Ranga, Incharge AAP Ferozepur and Gurbinder Singh said, the AAP has fixed the target for enrolment of 25 lakh people in 15 days with the party.

 

He said, despite the flow of sixth river of drugs in Punjab, there is great enthusiasm among the people of Punjab than Delhi.  He said, in every assembly segment, 20,000 people, 2000 from Circle and 200 from each booth will be associated with the AAP.

 

Ranga said, the AAP has also floated a toll free No.800-7006-003 through which anyone can associate himself with the party by giving a missed call and with the replay of message of the party.

 

The AAP leaders said, the assistance of social media will be availed for association of maximum number of people with the party and where there is no network, the AAP teams under different categories will pay door-to-door visit for enrolment and conveying the message of the party.

 

Punjab Kissan Cell leader Gurbinder Singh appealed to the farmers community to fight strongly against the government instead of committing suicide.

 

He said, to create awareness among the farmers, shortly a tractor rally will be organized starting from Talwandi Bhai which will cover the entire district.

 

Pankaj Ranga said, AAP will repeat the history of Delhi in Punjab and  form its government in the Punjab during 2017 Assembly elections by contesting on about 100 seats. About 50,000 AAP workers will gehrao the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on October 9, to register their protest against the corrupt, inefficient and not fulfilling its promises made with the people at the time of elections, he added.

 

In reply to the question, Ranga said, we will not support any political party in case AAP is not able to form government in Punjab.

 

In reply to another query, he said, the workers with criminal or tainted record will have no place in the party.

 

Regarding the local internal rift among the party workers, he said, it will be sorted out and we will see that all leaders are at one platform of the party.
