The Central bureau of investigation probing the multi-crore chit fund scam in Odisha arrested Biju Janata Dal Member of Parliament from Mayurbhanj Constitution Rama Chandra Hansda and former party BJD M.L.A (Subarna Naik and Hitesh Kumar Bagarati) (Ex. M.L.A BJP) on Tuesday last on charges of Conspiracy, Cheating and diversion funds. The three Leaders were former director of Nababiganta Capital services limited.
The two BJD leaders suspended from the BJD party by Naveenn Patnaik. In another case Biju Janata Dals' Banki MLA Pravat Tripathy was arrested by the CBI for his alleged links with Artha Tatwa (AT) group in the multi-hundred crore chit fund scam.
The four times MLA, who became the first ruling party leader held in the ponzi scam on October 31st, has also been suspended from the party. The Crime Branch and the State Police have filed 441cases against 163 chit fund Micro-finance Companies, major groups involved are Seashore group, AT group, Saradha group, Astha international, and etc. The CBI has registered 47 cases-three in West Bengal and 44 in Odisha. The CBI so for arrested 19Persons including Media of both print and electronic and Politicians too (One siting BJD MLA and one MLA) judicial commission headed by Justic R.K. Patra has received more than 10 lakh affidavits from duped investors. The CBI also during a raid on Hansadas' house in July in Mayurbhanj District, The agency had recovered 28 lakh in cash which he had said than was personal. Surprisingly, before being arrested on Tuesday, Hansada said a portion of the cash recovered from his house belonged to the party and workers, alleging he was victim of conspiracy. The statement of Hansada itself became an advantage to the BJP and demanded that Nabin be included with in the purview of the CBI probe in to chit fund scam.
The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee President Jayadev Jena told to the news men on Tuesday, that the truth never hides, It was clear BJP and BJD leaders grilled by CBI would be arrested soon, let the probe go on its way, It will expose more leaders from the ruling party. According to the available information there are as many 40leaders of different political parties are under the close watch of the CBI.
