Swati Kaushal, has worked for Nestle India Limited and Nokia Mobile Phones before moving to Connecticut after her husband’s transfer to the US. Kaushal graduated from Lady Shri Ram College (Economics), before pursuing an MBA at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta. Despite living in Delhi, Kolkata, Washington D.C and New York she decided to give the theme of Diaspora a miss, as she felt that many authors had already explored this genre.

In the interview Swati Kaushal also revealed how she goes about sketching her characters and what she loves reading herself.
