On 48th Foundation Day celebrations of BSF on December 01, a cultural programme and different competitions were organized under the patronage of Kalpna Rathore, BWWA President in the complex of 143 BSF Battalion.
The world's largest border security force came into existence on December 1, 1965. It was established, to have better coordination during war and peace, with a view to maintain security on the eastern and western border.
The BSF Punjab Frontier keeps 24 hours vigil on 553 KMs long difficult and challenging Indo-Pak international border. In this programme, children, women apart from officers of BSF participated the event.
On this occasion, a free health check-up camp was organized with the assistance of Dr.Abhishek Mashih of 143 Bt and Dr.Sumita Sahai of 137 Bt in which various tests were conducted free of cost.
