Citizens representation to Telangana transport minister
TR. Madhavan | 07 Jun 2016

Hon'ble minister sir, the citizens residing in Happy Homes Complex, Fort View Colony and other adjoining colonies and apartments did expected that under 100 days action of the GHMC the construction of bus bay and shelters will be taken at Upparpally Cross Roads or near Happy Homes Complex. But, the citizens got disappointed.

As the monsoon is arriving and due lack of bus shelters in above said locations RTC commuters especially school children, girls, working women, senior citizens and others have been put to lot of hardship for waiting to catch the buses pass through to various destinations of the city and outskirts.

Since several years the citizens residing in and around the area have been pursuing the issue with GHMC and TSRTC as well. Nothing materialised till date. The citizens seek your intervention in the matter and hope the facilities will be made available at earliest at the location mentioned below as suggested.

Bus shelter both directions - Pillar No 184 & 186 PVNR Expressway.

All route RTC buses used halt for boarding and alighting on both directions at pillar no 185 PVNR Expressway since several years. Due construction of the Expressway and service road RTC buses stop halting from past few years. Presently after a halt at Dairy Farm stop, halting at Upparpally cross Road. There no bus shelters available on both sides at Upparpally cross road.

If at all GHMC and TSRTC wants to take up construction of shelters at that place there will be objections from the business establishment as well as the residential complex at Upparpally cross roads.

It is suggested that, bus shelters construction should be taken by both GHMC and TSRTC between pillar no 184 & 186 on both direction.

Some advertisers have booked rooftop space for advertising near these pillar numbers either they be asked or the management of Cinepolis theatre complex (which is coming up in the location) to construct and maintain the shelters. They can put up ads of the movies being screened in their theaters or the other advertisers.

Hope, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Road Transport Corporation and Power Distribution Company will consider the suggestions and come out with a policy on the matter which will be acceptable to the advertisers etc.

Your early instructions to the concerned officials and early facility made available will be highly appreciable. Hope for a communication to us from your office in this regard.

Residents of Happy Homes Complex, Fort View Colony and adjoining areas, near Upparpally, PVNR Expressway, Hyderabad.
