The caption said 'a man dressed as Santa was feeding monkeys in a zoo. Within a few minutes the channel rectified its mistake and described it as an error.

As reported by TOI according to DD News additional DG, Akshay Rout, the junior content executive and her supervisor were responsible for the mix-up and have been pushed out of the social media responsibility.

On early morning of wednesday DD news tweeted a picture of BJP parliamentary board with a caption, " Jingle all the way!! ... A man dressed as Santa Claus feeds monkeys ahead of Christmas at a zoo in China." But soon blunder being identified by DD and tweet with the message, "Dear followers there has been an error. Story has been put with correct picture again. Kindly don't misinterpret news." Later on Dd tweeted, "BJP Parliamentary Board to meet today to decide future course of action."

However, the twitterites took screenshot of the tweet and mock it like anything. It wen viral on social media which enough to crack the viewers again on sheep act of government running channel. The responsible officials have been shifted out of their responsibility. Meanwhile Akshay Rout termed it as a lesson for the supervisory staff and assured to appoint better and train staff so that the social media interaction will be error-free and responsible enough.

This is not the first time that DD become butt of joke, few weeks back DD news anchor was in news because of her dumbness as she introduced the govermor of Goa Mridual Sinha as the Governor of India.
