Drug nexus case to be handed over to CBI soon: Goa CM

Both, the opposition and the ruling party legislators, have accused Ravi Naik and a section of state cadre police officers of sabotaging investigations into the drug nexus which was unearthed last year.

SUCCUMBING TO the intense pressure, from both the opposition as well as the ruling legislators, Goa government is actively considering handing over the infamous police-politician-drug nexus case to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
 
Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on Monday said that the case is likely to be handed over to the CBI within 2 or 3 days.

Answering a query, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on Monday said he was actively considering handing over the police-politicians-drug mafia nexus case to the CBI.
Both, the opposition and the ruling party legislators, have accused Ravi Naik and a section of state cadre police officers of sabotaging investigations into the drug nexus which was unearthed last year. The opposition has already demanded that Naik be stripped of his home portfolio, a demand already rejected by the Congress high command on January 21.
