The school looks for opportunities to help students develop a sense of social responsibility. With this in mind DPS International is organizing its first ever Spring Carnival on Sunday, 8 February from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 pm. The funds raised in this carnival will support the Aliya Trust which is committed to providing medical care to underprivileged children.
Aliya Trust has been established by this benevolent group with a vision to providing financial and medical assistance to underprivileged children who have limited or no means to fight their illness. The Trust is actively involved in helping the poor who are sick and ailing, to gain access to life saving medical treatment. Aliya Trust works in close association with NGOs, schools, hospitals and organizations for the disabled.
The trust funds the treatment costs for prosthetic limb fittings, blood transfusions for thalassemia patients, children suffering from congenital heart problems and cancer patients. The trust has recently aided a girl from a marginalised family to be able to walk by providing a prosthetic limb. With fun games and activities, rides, food, musical performances and much more, this carnival will be an event for the entire family and the proceeds of the carnival will go to the Aliya Trust.
