India's leading real estate developer, Emaar MGF today concluded the weeklong activities at its project sites to celebrate the 44th National Safety Day and Week.
The events were organised by the Company with active participation by its Contractors to emphasize on the importance of safety among its site workers, encouraging them to comply with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) norms.
The National Safety Day and Week Campaign was founded by National Safety Council of India, a self-governing and non-profit body. Under this, 4th March is celebrated as National Safety Day across the country every year, with National Safety Week organised from 4th-10th March.
The Company conducted various safety awareness activities and competitions at its project sites like Palm Terraces Select, Marbella, Capital Towers, Palm Hills, Palm Drive and Emerald Hills in Gurgaon and Mohali Hills in Mohali. The construction workers showed great enthusiasm by actively participating in programs like safety flag hoisting, safety pledge, safety walk, mock safety drills and demonstration, safety song and safety speeches. Emaar MGF also facilitated prize distribution for the best HSE performers, as well as the most safety-conscious laborers and workers at site.

Alongside offering global quality projects to its patrons, Emaar MGF is organising several social initiatives on a regular basis. The company recently conducted the annual blanket distribution drive across its project sites in India. It held health camps for its site workers on World AIDS Day, and awareness sessions on World Quality Day. Other activities like gift distribution to children of construction workers, blood donation camps, tree plantation drives, etc. are a regular part of company's calendar.
It also runs Mobile Creches for children of site labourers taking care of their education, nutrition and health. Moreover, Emaar MGF has contributed to various relief funds for floods in Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Odisha; in addition to associating with NGOs working in the field of disability, education and healthcare.
