Ering call Public Hearing about Simang Hydro-power project at Pasighat

The Union Minister of State (Minority Affairs) Ninong Ering ask the East Siang deputy commissioner Nidhi Srivastava called for public Hearing about Simang hydro-power project in the district of Arunachal Pradesh . Simang Hydro-power project divided in three stages in Siang river basin about 177 MW under the MoU dated February 6th , 2008 last and will be completed during 2016 commissioning year . Simang-i is 67 MW ,Simang-ii 66 MW and Simang - ii 44 MW in East Siang district under Pasighat the certificated have been received from ministry of environment and forest recently .The construction order have been received by Adishankar power Pvt Ltd . According to sources Arunachal Pradesh altogether 48167 MW hydropower project under 86 Schemes out of this 5870 MW centrally sponsored under 4 Schemes ,14785 MW State Sponsored under 8 Schemes  and 27512 MW private sponsored under 74 Schemes have been sanctioned .
 The  Simang Hydro-power project which  MoU was signed five years before   . The minister enquirer about the project and called for Public Hearing soon stating that clearances from pollution control board and ministry of environment and forest have already been obtained.
  Ninong Ering MoSMA  while talking to this correspondent over phone , said that,  "success of  energy development will promote a better place on earth for us to live for many generations to come. We will be able to offer energy to the people and also for Eco-friendly industrial development. To bridge the gap between the demand and availability of power, it is necessary to welcome Simang hydropower project on priority, " he added.
 He also said the public hearing will be completed   within September 10th next  and the district administration will call for public hearing about the project .This power project will solve the shortage of power in Arunachal pradesh and people get the employment . In present Arunachal faced acquit shortage of power each and every places ,Ering said .
  Meanwhile DC  Srivastava in her reply informed to the minister  that awareness programs are being carried out by the administration so that public can understand the benefits of the upcoming project.  She said that ,"to meet our own requirement, there is an urgent need to develop our huge untapped hydro power potential capacity in the state for economic well being and growth of the people in the whole region. She believes, now people can understand that it is good for them and they will come forward to cooperate with the government/administration for a better tomorrow', Srivastava added .
  According to a official information East Siang  Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Srivastava along with power official staff  today  visited Ruksin area to see the progress on tapping of 4 MW supply from Assam via Jonai. She  informed that the state government has released 25 lacs for laying down the power supply infrastructure (for Arunachal part) which has been completed satisfactorily by the Pasighat Power (Elect) division. The Assam counterpart has also been finished the assigned task and has been paid 30 lacs out of 37.5 lacs by the GoAP and the rest amount 7.5 lacs will be cleared soon. The DC commented that a fresh round of negotiation needs to done at the earliest possible by the GoAP to give us power.
Putting her  efforts, Srivastava contacted the DC Aalo and asked him to ensure to keep 33 kv line healthy by the EE/AEs of Aalo upto Gini village which is hardly 10 km away from Aalo headquarter. At the same time she directed the ADC Boleng to improve telecommunication service in Pangin-Boleng area liaising with the BSNL authority. She said it has been experienced that when there is power cut, telephone service goes off and the engineers of Pasighat fail to contact Pangin sub-station to collect information for immediate restoration of power supply. Sometimes it takes hours together or more than a day for necessary rectification etc. She hoped such kind of negotiation/efforts will definitely bring some positive results in days to come.
