Ferozepur borne Ravi Kant Gupta, Industrialist-turned-educationist among 26 Businessmen selected by India Today

Ravi Kant Gupta, an educationist with a difference was selected among 26 businessmen under the category of industrialists from North India by India Today.

Ravi Kant Gupta was honoured at Hotel JW Marriot Chandigarh by Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister Punjab while releasing a book depicting the history of 26 businessmen of North India.

Gupta is a multi-talented personality. Presently, he is Chairman of Dev Raj Group's Technical Campus at Ferozpeur. He is also associated with various local social, educational and technical institutions. 

Gupta is also associated as the Chairman of Industrial Training Institute (Govt.ITI Women and Boys) and for the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Ferozepur. There is no denying the fact that he is bestowed upon by immense love and respect from the region.

Speaking on this occasion after getting the honour, Gupta said, due to lack of technical knowledge amongst students, skilled manpower cannot be easily found.  You have to be at the grass roots if you want a job.  We feed the child with such knowledge and prepare them for such challenges which would help generating employment opportunities for them.

To give practical shape to his thoughts, Gupta said, "To promote value education and transform the generation into a future ready stratum, Dev Raj Institute of Management & Technology is sketching ways to take first quality education to the countryside of India."

He said, the risk of starting up on institution like this in his hometown paid him big time. 

He also said with full confidence, "Risk is a necessary part of business philosophy. While being prudent, you can take risks and achieve great heights.  I view risk as a matter of thinking big and growing fast.
