Wonder the hype created by the festivals in India. I also love festivals and celebrate with friends and family within private premises.
I would like to question Why organisations like ISKCON harass the general masses to carry out their festival celebration spirit. There are visibly two sides of the same story and I would like to highlight the same. Can any one give me satisfying answers.
External Story : What goes out to Masses
ISKCON Janamastmi festivals are so well organised.
They are very good planners and take care of all granular details like where the car parking will be, where the people will remove shoes, How people will come in a queue, Of Course where the Donation Patras be kept, where the Book / Artifacts selling will happen (Business Model)
Other Side of the Same Story
To ensure good queues they ask the residents / tenants / Nearby offices To remove there vehicles else they will be picked up by the cran you would be challaned 100 bucks.
Put Loud Speaks on all the Roads putting the people in the vicinity to mental torture. They are forced to hear the monotonous chant of people who other than ISKCON have no sense of duty or responsibility. Loud Speakers are banned
Line up the whole place with Police People who sit on plastic chairs on the pathway. A rape might be happening in the vicinity or at other places but this is important.
Despite the swine flu in its full swing rope in as many people as possible in the crowded places.
Of Course donot forget the privileged people (People with Money) get preference and entry. who else will fill their donation boxes.
I can go on I have a host of points. I would like to invite the people's view points with respect to such happening in our society. We are spending our energy in things like this rather than more important and pressing needs of the society.
