Four Killed and Several Houses Burnt
Four unidentified tribal dead bodies found near the bridge under the Bandhugaon block and 12 tribals from the same block abducted by the Chasi Mulia Sangh, Narayanapatna today i.e. 06/09/2009. The 14 Mini Lemon Grass Oil Extracting factories belonging to non-tribals burnt by the tribals in Bandhugaon block suspected to be the members of Chasi Mulia Sangh, Narayanapatna. In protest against the burning of the 14 Mini Lemon Grass Oil Extracting factories, the Sangh led M.S. Paidamma abducted 35 tribals from Kaberibadi Panchayat from Bandhugaon block suspecting them of their involvement in burning 14 factories. The abducted tribals are under the confinement in Sourapalli village of Bandhugaon block past three days. The war like situation continuing in between Chasi Mulia Sangh led by Paidamma of Bandhugaon block and Chasi Mulia Sangh led by Nachika Linga of Narayanapatna block in Koraput district of Odisha state. The Members of Chasi Mulia Sangh led by Paidamma of Bandhugaon block blockade the road felling the trees in between Bandhugaon and Parvatipuram of Andhra Pradesh from the past 3 days and last night the members of the same Sangh also blockade in between Narayanapatna and Bandhugaon felling number of big trees at Katraguda and also burnt number of houses in Katraguda village and the houses of nearby villages also burnt those who are neither the members of the Bandhugaon Chasi Mulia Sangh nor the members of the Narayanapatna Chasi Mulia Sangh. The Chasi Mulia Sangh led by Paidamma with the tribal traditional weapons around 7000 tribals waiting near Bandhugaon to prevent the entry of the other members of Chasi Mulia Sangh of Narayanapatna led by Nachika Linga. The tribals who are the members of Chasi Mulia Sangh led by Nachika Linga also with their traditional weapons forcibly trying to enter inside Bandhugaon block which led war like situation in between the members of Chasi Mulia Sangh, Bandhugaon block and the members of Chasi Mulia Sangh of Narayanapatna Block. This reporter was in Collector Chamber on Saturday night when Gananath Patra, leader of CPI(ML) spoke to Collector to specify the dangerous situation which is expected from today. All these incidence are taking place in presence of the police and CRPF Camps, who became the silent spectators. It is also not practically possible for govt. officials to enter inside Bandhugaon or Narayanapatna block, the officials confirmed.
