Harayana's ex-Congress MLA Major Nirpendra Singh Sangwan Joins BJP

In a blow to the state Congress in Haryana just a few weeks ahead of the crucial assembly elections, ex-Congress MLA Major Nripendra Singh Sangwan, and ex-MLA Sukhbir Parmaana and many other state Congress members joined the BJP on 26thJuly.

During a press conference held in Rohtak, BJP's former state president Shri Ganeshi Lal praised the kind heartedness and mass appeal of Major Nripendra Sangwan, saying 'Major Sangwan's presence in BJP will only strengthen the party more. We will not just see a rout for Congress in other parts of Haryana but also in Dadri district.'

'Major Sangwan will be treated with utmost respect in the party, and we welcome him with open arms,' he added. He said that the state BJP was prepared for polls and would win with a thumping majority. He also added that the state BJP has invited PM Narendra Modi for a rally in the state closer to the polls. Hinting at a possible coalition, he added that final decision on the coalition will be taken by the 29th of this month.

Major Nripendra Singh Sangwan belongs to the family of brave army men and has won many gallantry awards. Not just respected for his bravery, Major Sangwan has made his name in the Dadri assembly constituency of Haryana as a kind hearted leader and an effective administrator. During his tenure as an MLA during 2004-2009 Major Sangwan successfully implemented many central and state schemes and provided for infrastructure and other facilities in the constituency. He enjoys mass support, and his joining BJP will hugely benefit the party in the Dadri and nearby areas in the upcoming polls.

Speaking to the media persons soon after joining, Major Sangwan said 'In the last 5 years the Hooda Congress has ruined the state. I want Haryana to be number one. That is possible only under BJP and Modiji's leadership.' 'CM Hooda played corruption and caste politics. This is not the same Congress I had joined years ago. My constituency has suffered because of this. People are not happy, youth is jobless,' he added. He said that he made many attempt to convey the unhappiness of the masses to the CM, but his appeals were rejected.

Speaking to the press, BJP national spokesperson, Capt Abhimanyu said that Major Nripendra Sangwan's entry into BJP will help the party immensely and will boost its prospects in the upcoming polls. He added that it is only BJP that can provide good governance in the state.

Ranveer Dhaka, Sushil Indora, Alkaar Singh, Bhai Darshan Indora, Balkar Singh, Pradeep Alhawat, Vajeer Khokar, Rakesh Khapda and many others joined the BJP.
