Haryana engineers condemn negative and arbitrary attitude of Nigam managements
V K Gupta | 16 May 2017

Haryana Power Engineers Association (HPEA) has strongly condemned the attitude of managements of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd. (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Bitran nigam Ltd. (DHBVN) for adopting the delaying tactics in solving the long pending demands and further creating new problems.

K K Malik General Secretary alleged that the engineers are greatly agitated over the attitude of management which is taking arbitrary decisions on transfer of engineers against the policy framed this year, selective and delayed decisions on pending charge sheets.

Malik said that Nigam has not only been delaying the promotions of engineers but also putting brakes on promotion of senior most superintending engineer on flimsy ground. He cited the case of D V S Dhankar Superintending Engineer who was given three promotions in his career from the post of SDO to superintending engineer but now for his promotion as chief engineer a pending charge sheet when he worked as SDO is being made an excuse. In case charge sheet was based on facts how he was promoted thrice in his career.

DVS Dhankar in a letter to management has also claimed that his signatures were forged on the estimate and the connection was not released during my tenure. A police complaint was also lodged against this forging of signatures and the police have already sent its report.

KD Bansal President of association  further alleged that their main demand of removing the anomalies in pay scales of assistant engineers and assistant executive engineers is being shuttled from one committee to other just to harsh the engineers. Also the engineers are put under suspension without proper enquiries and no action is taken for months together.

The retired director has been made advisor without any known technical contribution to improve the working the utility during his career. The Nigam must stop such wasteful expenditure.

The Association demands that the management should redress the grievances at the earliest.
