Indian languages must be promoted

Mahatma Gandhi said, "Saving Indian languages is central for saving Indian culture." The same viewpoint was also endorsed by Swami Vivekanand, the greatest saint and torchbearer of Indian culture and ideology.

Working on this theme, ILA Foundation is celebrating its foundation day at IMA House, Sector 31 in Noida. The theme of the foundation day is 'Language and Culture'. The theme has been chosen to promote dying Indian languages.

Program chairperson Dr AK Pandey (Senior Cardiologist and HOD, Max Hospital, PPG) and President of ILA (I LOVE ALL) Foundation President Dr Nishank Shekhar said, "Our effort would be to promote regional languages. This year, we have chosen Maithili language and next year we will choose another regional language." This program would be attended by around 300 professionals of various fields.

Dr Shekhar also said that, "On the occasion we would be honouring Sri Ravindra Nath Thakurji, a distinguished Mathili poet and writer." Sri Mahesh Sharmaji, Culture and Tourism minister of India will be the chief guest.

On this occasion expert speakers would be Sri Raj Shekhar Thakur, Asst Professor, NEHU, Shillong, Meghalaya, who would be speaking on Language and Culture and Dr Shailendr Mishra, Associate Professor, Magadh University, Bihar who would be speaking on Maithili language and culture.

On this occasion Dr Shalini Pandey would also be sharing her thoughts on culture and medical astrology. On this occasion special guests of honour includes Sri Devesh Chandra Thakur, Member of Legislative Council, Bihar, Sri Pankaj Singh, MLA, Noida, Sri Tejpal Nagar, MLA Dadri. Sri SK Dwedi would be the Program coordinator along with Sitanshu Shekhar Mishra. Dr Shekhar said this program will be conducted and completed by the support of Neeraj Dixit, Dr Rajni Shekhar Thakur, Volunteers of ILA Foundation Rishika Thakur,Ravi Pandey, Rishi Sachhan, Lalit Nenval, Nikesh Pandey and Aman Katyar.
