Dr. Lalit Kishore | 07 Jan 2011

ACCORDING TO National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the International Space Station astronauts finally have Internet access now.

Astronaut Timothy Creamer has been able to establish Internet access from the orbital post and accomplished the first live Twitter post from space. He has written on the post: "Hello Twitterverse! We are now live tweeting from the International Space Station -- the first live tweet from Space! :) More soon, send yours."

The International Space Station crew can now use an on-board laptop and browse the web.
On the new accomplishment, NASA spokesman Kelly Humphries said, "Long-duration astronauts, they commit to spending months away from family and friends. It is a pretty unique state of isolation. We expect this to enhance morale and productivity."
