Lack of infrastructure and Staff in Govt. Higher Secondary School, Arwani
Attention towards Govt. Higher Secondary School, Arwani, situated in District, Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, State that: 1. This institution has been upgraded in the year 2006 from High School to the Status of Higher Secondary. 2. No attention has been paid after the upgradation of this institution with regard to infrastructural development. 3. No creation of posts for teaching students of +2 level has been made so far. 4. No Principal has been provided to the institution so far, the D.D.O is previous Headmaster working as I/c Principal in the said institution. 5. The injustice with the students is that either Teachers or Masters are taking up the classes of 11th and 12th but not lecturers. 6. The students are taking-up their classes in tin-sheds due to lack of accommodation. There are only two buildings one used for official purposes / staff and other five-roomed building used for students and the rest of students read under open sky or in tin-sheds. 7. One two-storied building was constructed by Block Development Officer, Qaimoh but it was declared unsafe for students due the cracks developed in the slab of the said building. Later, the same was intimated to both Chief Education Officer, Anantnag and Block Development Officer, Qaimoh but no action have been taken up so far. 8. No arrangement of Electricity and, Computer, Science and other labs have been made so far. 9. No arrangements of Library / Reading Room for students have been made so far. 10. The school campus is having about 5 Kannals of land which has not been Fenced till date, with the result that there is lack of discipline among the students and intrusion by outdoors. 11. No Peon (Class IV) / Night Chowkidar has been provided by the Government so far. 12. No arrangement for Bukahries / Heaters or other things for proper and smooth functioning of the institution has been made so far, in the days of chill and cold both the students and staff suffer a lot. 13. No Junior Assistant for making salary and dealing other official matters have been presently adjusted in this institution, so there is a major problem for hardworking teachers of the institution for drawing their salaries in time.
