“Koi Dio Jawab” play organized in F’Pur, based on drug abuse theme

The Pb. Govt. is making sincere efforts to eradicate drugs from the state and all political parties, NGOs and religious institutions should come forward for this purpose as public movement against drug abuse is need of the hour, said Kamal Sharma, President BJP Punjab State while addressing the audience at a function organized by the district administration at Genesis Dental Institute. Appreciating the campaign started, he appealed to the citizens to join in this campaign.

In the programme organized with the assistance of District Social Security, Child Welfare Department, District Red Cross Society, Ferozepur and NGOs, a stage play – Koi Dio Jawab – under the patronage of Parminder Paul Kaur by Kala Kriti, Patiala was presented which was based on drug abuse theme. The presentation of play by the characters spell bound the full packed audience in the auditorium and compelled them to think about the serious problem of use of drugs by the youths in Punjab.


Speaking on this occasion, Manjit Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner highlighted the motive behind the campaign started in the district and said, “Prior to this, seminars against drug abuse has been organized in 20 Secondary Schools and 22 Colleges with the assistance of Guru Gobind Study Circle, Ferozepur-Moga Zone which practice shall also continue in future also”.


Apart from this, the audience was also entertained by Jaila Sandhu, Sukhjinder Noor Pooria, Happy Arman, Ravinder Sadhu, Malkit Singh with the Punjabi cultural songs. 


On this occasion, Mohinder Pande, BJP leder, Dr.Kamal Baghi, Chairman Genesis Dental Institute,Charanjit Kaur Narang, Chairperson Hospital Welfare Branch, Amarjit Singh Bhullar, DSSO, Jaswinder Singh Sandhu,President, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Society, Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross, Dr.Satinder Singh, National  Awardee and others were present.  The artists and special guests were also honoured on this eve.
