Shri Ram Sena Jammu and Kashmir state president Rajiv Mahajan has expressed serious concern over neglect of an honest police officer DSP Ashutosh Sharma by his own department, J&K Police department.

Mahajan appeals to Director General of Police K. Rajendra Kumar to take personal interest and take care of the ailing police officer.  Ashutosh was grievously injured 15 years back in a road accident and was since then on medication including pain killers which has resulted in damage to his both kidneys. Ashutosh is now surviving on dialysis only.

Rajiv Mahajan said it is very unfortunate that the most prestigious Police department has forgotten the services of their most honest officer DSP Ashutosh Sharma and never take any measures for the welfare of the officer. The officer is battling for his life today. His family is in great distress and is facing financial crunch. The education of his children has severely affected. His parents are old and infirm and are having multi ailments, but none has come to the rescue of the honest police officer, Mahajan added.

Mahajan appeals to DGP K. Rajendra Kumar to take personal interest in the state of affairs and provide adequate relief to the ailing officer from Police welfare fund. Mahajan said and added that honouring the honest and meritorious personnel posthumously is no justification; something must be done for their welfare during their lifetime. Only rituals should not be the practice, but it must adorn by doing something practical, Mahajan added.
