Some of the observations and remarks made by the Majlis Leader Asaduddin Owaisi while participating in a 'Meet the Press' programme organized by the Telangana Working Journalists Union in Hyderabad, which are share here with;
He remarked that, there was never a Muslim vote bank; it was all a figment of imagination. Majlis success in Maharashtra election had boosted the confidence in Muslim youth in Parliamentary democracy. One has the right to disagree with his politics but none can call him as anti-national.
He said, the dwindling representation of Muslims in the Parliament is not good for democracy. Political reservation is essential for development of Muslim community.
While thanking the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for breaking the 'Myth' of Muslim vote bank also faulted the recent appointment of Chairman of Prasar Bharati.
He further said that, as we want development, his party is all for Metro Rail passing through the Old City, but only on the route suggested by it.
