Mixing ethanol with petrol will help the country in saving foreign exchange outflow
Vishnu Mohan | 16 Oct 2013

It is good to see that concerned quarters are eager to see that ethanol is mixed with petrol.

Recently, Union Agriculture Minister Mr. Sharad Pawar has hinted that Public Sector Oil Companies should go in for mixing petrol with ethanol and by doing so the country would be saving on foreign exchange outflow by cutting down the oil impor bill.

Even Union Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel has remarked that his ministry would provide all possible help in promoting automobile engines run on blended fuel.

To begin with, the Public Sector Oil Companies have agreed to mix just 0.5% of ethanol.

Let's hope in future this figure goes up to the a decent level making a good impact on saving foreign exchange outflow.
