Aldona Congress MLA Dayanand Narvekar addressing media at his residence at Mapusa on Thursday evening opposed the proposal of the privatisation of the Mapusa district hospital.
STRONGLY OPPOSING the Digambar Kamat led government’s decision to privatise the District Hospital at Mapusa, Aldona MLA Dayanand Narvekar has threatened to launch an agitation if the government fails to change its decision by January 26.
Aldona Congress MLA Dayanand Narvekar addressing media at his residence at Mapusa on Thursday evening opposed the proposal of the privatisation of the Mapusa district hospital, and has instead favoured that the government take over the hospital and ensure that efficient health services are provided to the needy.
Narvekar said as a local MLA government has failed to take up him confidence while deciding the privatisation of the hospital.
Mr Narvekar said that by keeping the hospital non-functional, and by only being firm on the privatisation plans, the government seems to be insensitive to the health needs of the people of North Goa.
