New Delhi condemns latest act of terrorism in Afghanistan

New Delhi has strongly condemned the latest act of terrorism in Afghanistan in which two Indian workers lost their lives and five others sustained injuries. A spokesman of the External Affairs Ministry while expressing condolences with the bereaved families reiterated India's determination to continue the reconstruction work with the people and government of war-torn Afghanistan. As already reported an Afghan Driver also lost his life in the attack. AIR Kabul correspondent reports that a suicide attack took place in the southern Nimroz province of Afghanistan this morning. Provincial Governor Ghulam Dastagir Azad told AIR that two suicide bombers who were on foot stuck simultaneously against the vehicle in which the Indians were travelling. He said that a third suicide bomber has been arrested by police later. He said the incident took place near the Minar town early morning and Taliban militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.

India is building over 300 kilometre road between Zeranj and Delaram in the province.

This is the second suicide attack against the Indian workers this year. On the 3rd of January, 2 Indian Security Personnel were killed and more than 9 Indian and Afghan security officials were injured in the attack.
