Now Kejriwal and his team have to prove their worth

If Arvind Kejriwal does well post his oath taking as Delhi's chief minister, it will be a big challenge for other political parties in various upcoming elections.

With a thumping victory in Delhi assembly polls, Aam Aadmi Party has become KHAS (important). AAP's massive victory will start a new alignment of forces; a new dawn has appeared.

The most surprising is that Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP has won 67 seats out of 70 - say 95 per cent, first time in the history of politics - while BJP even with alliance of SAD on four seats, has shrink to only three. The Congress could not open its account.

It looks that now even a common man can now afford to enter politics and fight against the corrupt system. It will not be a game of big houses, big guns and dishonest and unscrupulous persons.

In the last Parliamentary elections, AAP had contested on more than 400 seats and its candidates had lost their deposits in 90 per cent of their seats and were labeled as party which had lost its deposits.

AAP was almost declared dead by the experts despite improving its vote share in Delhi by 4 per cent and winning four seats in Punjab.

In fact, Arvind Kejriwal did not lose his temper even having disassociation with the Anna Hazare, with whom he has started his political career. But with his 'Will Power' he was determined to face the consequences with the support of the common man, who wanted a complete change in the system. Making a planned strategy and working on the mistakes committed by him, the historical results are before us by focusing on development agenda.

BJP managed to get Kiran Bedi in its fold to give a tough fight to Arvind kejriwal. The people were thinking of turning of tables but the AAP had gained confidence with his transparency in working and speaking to the media persons without any inhibition.

The people of India were looking for an alternative of Congress and BJP being fed up from the money, muscle and manipulation power. The AAP agenda of eradication of corruption, providing electricity at half the current price and water free of cost, free Wi-Fi worked as a game changer. With lion's share in Delhi Assembly elections AAP has proved that everything is possible not only in love and war but in politics too.

Frankly speaking, now Kejriwal and his team have to prove their worth during the next five years. He should move slowly but with positive results. He should concentrate on adopting austerity measures, generating more funds and creating job opportunities.

At the same time, the national level political parties should take a less from these results, introspect for the reasons behind their failure, give a helping hand to run the affairs in the best interest of the common man. But they should not underestimate the power of the common man.
