The district administration will extend the possible help those farmers’ groups who opt for processing of their produce by coming out of the traditional agriculture rotation, for producing poison-free crops said DPS Kharbanda, DC Ferozepur while interacting with the members of Farmers Help Society and appreciating the efforts for producing the vegetables, making pickles by maintaining the purity.

Addressing the gathering of farmers after inspecting the farms and cetnres in the village under the leadership of Boota Singh Bhullar, President, Kharbanda Deputy Commissioner said, now the time is not to plough deep rather to do agriculture with intelligence. 

Appreciating the efforts of the society, he said, while more training camps will be organized under the patronage of agriculture experts, rather efforts will be made to understand the system, by visiting prominent groups and farmers producing bumper crops.

Appealing the farmers to make profitable agriculture profession by saving the environment, soil and human life, Er.Kharbanda said, give preference to pulses, vegetables and fruit crops and agriculture and other departments will lead you for best expert knowledge.

Dr.Sukhwant Singh Sran, Distt. Agri. Officer interacting with the farmers, invited them for joint farming and assured all possible help from the department for marketing of their produce in canned packing for getting maximum profit. 

Jagnandan Singh Brar, Deputy Director, Horticulture Department speaking on this occasion highlighted the subsidy schemes and harvesting of horticulture, vegetables and poly houses.

Gurcharan Singh Mann, farmer, President awardee shared his experience of honey bee area motivated the farmers to come forward to adopt allied profession along with the agriculture.

Boota Singh Bhullar, President shared the achievements of the Farmers Group Society apart from expressed the views on vegetable production by Jathedar Amarjit Singh farmer State Awardeed Bhure Kalan, Gurpreet Singh Jhok Hari Har and Tarlochan Singh. Jaswinder Singh Sandhu performed the master of ceremony nicely and thanked the district administration officers.
