OCZ Technology Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: OCZ), a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems, has appointed Ankur Sarkar as Sales Manager for driving business operations in South Asia, including India.
Ankur is responsible for developing an extensive channel and support network for OCZ in association with OCZ’s consumer & enterprise product distributors across South Asia. He plays an instrumental role as Sales Manager for SSD Product Group & Enterprise Class Power Management Product Group, in carrying forward OCZ Technology's ongoing initiatives across markets be it the consumer, SME & enterprise customer. He is also responsible for educating the customer segments, providing effective pre-sales support to the channel, imparting marketing and technical training and offering seamless support services to the end-user as and when required.
He is an industry veteran with nearly two decades of sales & marketing experience in IT and office automation industry with companies like ViewSonic Corporation, USA; Plustek Inc., Taiwan; Fujisan Technologies, Spice Net etc and is very well conversant with channel network and its functioning in the Indian market. Ankur’s last assignment was with MapmyIndia as their Associate Vice President for Sales & Distribution of Consumer Business Group, wherein he set up company’s operations in various new verticals and established many alternative revenue models.
