The accused by names A-1. Roland Anegbe @ Martin s/o Anegbe Aokhae, aged about 36 yrs, Occ. Business, A-2. Nnamgi Aku s/o Aku, aged about 38 yrs, Occ. Business and A-3. Abraham Anthony Njosi, s/o Anthony Njosi, aged about 30 yrs, all r/o Kothanuru, Bangalore n/o Benin City, Edo state, Nigeria, were apprehended by Cyber Crime Police, Rachakonda, on 05-10-2016 for online cheating for sale of a 2013 model Mahindra XUV 500 W8 (AWD) for Rs. 8,55,000/- by giving advertisement in www.olx.in, there by collected amount of Rs. 1,85,700/-, to the complainant Sri. Lavish Kumar of R.K. Puram, Sec-bad.
One complaint Sri. Lavish Kumar, Rtd., Subedar, Indian Army, r/o R.K. Puram, lodged a complainant at CCPS, Rachakonda, that he has contacted the people, on seeing an advertisement on OLX that, Mahendra XUV 500 vehicle is for sale for very least price. Later he was told that the owner of the vehicle is leaving India as his project is over here. And the vehicle is with cargo dept., of Airport. Believing this story victim decided to buy this vehicle. Then these fraudsters made him to pay. Rs. 1,85,700/- for various reasons. Later they failed to deliver the vehicle to him and not answering his calls too. Hence, a case is registered in CCPS, Rachakonda in Cr.No. 03/2016 U/s 417, 419, 420, 468, 471 IPC & Sec. 66 (C & D) IT Act.
On Investigation it is known that these fraudsters are operating this cheating from Bangalore. Inspector Mohammed Riyazuddin, SI. Sri. D. Ahsish Reddy and their team went to Bangalore and caught above three Nigerians under the supervision of ACP, M. Snehita, CCPS, Rachakonda, Sri. Nagaraju Kumar, OSD (Crimes), Sri. T.V. Shashidahr Reddy, IPS, Jt. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Sri. Mahesh M. Bhagawath, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda appreciated the good work of CCPS Police, And CCPS Police are appealing to citizens to be very careful about the advertisement on OLX. Before purchasing any goods especially cars from OLX. One should check the genuinity of the advertisement. Without physical checking, one should not pay to anybody. It may be cheating. With concerned to online shopping also everyone should prefer "cash on delivery" option only. If anyone notices this sort offences, it should be reported immediately.

Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime P.S., Cyberabad. Sri. C.V. Anand, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad appreciated the work of the officers in detecting the case.
