Painting competition on drug addiction organized at Bal Niketan

A painting competition on drug addiction was organized for the children of Bal Niketan here today by Big Reporter under the supervision of Rajat Gupta, in which fifty children participated.
Danish Rana, IPS, IGP Jammu zone was the chief guest and Lalit Mahajan, President BBIA was guest of honour while King C Bharati, senior journalist and social activist judged the paintings.
The event was organized by Big Reporter to showcase the talent of the children of Bal Niketan and encourage them besides creating awareness among the children about the ill-effects of drug abuse.
Children were enthusiastic to participate in the competition and drew fine paintings depicting various sides of the drug abuse.
The IGP later felicitated three students who were adjudged as first second and third while all other students were given consolation prizes besides refreshment.
Speaking on the occasion IGP Danish Rana congratulated the winners and asked the students to work hard without caring for the awards adding participation is more important than awards.
Rana also appreciated the Big Reporter team for their efforts to help the children of Bal Niketan to showcase their talent before the public.
BBIA president Lalit Mahajan while speaking on the occasion praised the children for their talent and hoped the Big Reporter team would organize many more such events for the children to help them compete with other children.
Prominent among the dignitaries present on the occasion included P.S Jaggi Sec.,Viraj Malhotra Treasurer and others
