Paradise they say! PART(I)
SHEIKH SALIQ | 07 Feb 2011

THIS IS A POEM AND IS ABOUT THE KASHMIR FROM PAST TWO DECADES AND WHAT IS DONE WITH KASHMIRIS.THIS ARTICLE ASLO SHOWS HOW MUCH KASHMIRIS ARE TORTURED

Paradise they say! But the story is too different

Land of dreamlands they say! But the story is too different

As the red spills round the clock

Still their hearts are as solid as rock

They occupied our land and our dreams

Though they try to justify their screams

Paradise they say! But the story is too different

We are your own they say but the story is too different

Blooming buds here are rewarded with only soil and soil

As they raise their say against mayhem and turmoil

Young chaps and lads who used to play are now no more

Coz they raised their voice against the prison like heaven which made them bore

Paradise they say! But the story is too different

Nothing has happened they say but the story is too different

The young production is now knowing and aware

As they are always ready to face the freedoms chase

Tanned uniform is now their hate

As they want to be the owner of their own fate

Paradise they say! But the story is too different

Let’s be friends they say but the story is too different

Father burying his sweetheart is now a routine

Mother wailing and waiting is now a usual seen

Children made orphans and wives widow

It’s their habit and they love to do so

Paradise they say! But the story is too different

Integral part they say! But the story is too different

Decades have disappeared but still no justification

Still they say we are always on a peace mission

Love, peace and care is their slogan

But tell me what about the gun!

Paradise they say! But the story is too different

Everything is under control they say but the story is too different

They looted and plundered the dreams of our talents

Still they say these happen as accidents

I may tell lie but what about the nation

As everyone is crying against the illegal occupation

Paradise they say! But the story is too different

White dove is their symbol but the story is too different

Another wamiq, zahid and tufail will be waiting

To lay their red as the nation is chanting

One wanted to be doctor and another a cricketer

But the tanned uniform made their dreams shatter

Paradise they say! But the story is too different

Coming years will be peaceful but the story is too different

As the vale is still hoping the best to come

Justice will be done, let the Armageddon come

They will be defeated and their score will be nil

Let them try once more how many they can kill

Paradise they say! But the story is too different

Justice will be done but the story is too different

Paradise they say! Paradise they say!

It’s all a lie

Don’t believe me listen to the cry

Paradise they say! Paradise they say!
