Petition filed against CCBL directors
Rajiv Mahajan, state president Shri Ram Sena, one of the contested candidate (unqualified) of the recently held elections to the Board of Directors of Citizens Cooperative Bank filed a petition on Tuesday before the court of Registrar, Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Societies, Jammu under Section 70 and 29 of J&K Cooperative Societies Act of 1989 read with Rule 16(5) & 25 of J&K Cooperative Societies Rule 2001 thereby quashing the declaration of election of Respondents (Chairman and 8 Directors) of CCBL declared on 17-09-2012.
The petition filed through Advocate Suneel Malhotra seeks restraint on discharging the duties as Chairman and Directors of Citizens Cooperative Bank Ltd., Jammu till the disposal of the petition. The petition filed against Chairman, Dinesh Gupta and his team of Directors stated that large scale bunglings were committed during polling in Vijaypur, RS Pura and Akhnoor on behest of winners, (Chairman and other 8 Directors).
The next date of hearing in the case has been fixed on November 7 for filing objections. Summons to all respondents have been issued.
