PTU organizes “Industrial Training Fest” at SBS Tech. Campus in Ferozepur

The Punjab Technical University organized "PTU Industrial Training Fest” at its affiliated college Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Camus, Ferozepur today in which more than 500 students from all over Punjab participated in this mega event. The selected students will undergo training for one Semester in the respective organizations.

Er. Navdeepak Sandhu, Placement Officer PTU said that eight organizations Gtech Software & Education, Ludhiana, CMC Ltd. Noida, CMC, Mohali, Intelgain Technologies, Chandigarh, Telcoma Technologies, Chandigarh, Pic N Frames Chandigarh & Advance Technology, Chandigarh evaluated the students for more than 600 openings. The selection process includes written test followed by interview. The selected students will be paid stipend upto Rs. 5000/- or will be provided free of cost training.

To promote Punjab as Technical Education Destination, Institutes & Industrial training provider companies should jointly work to enhance the employability of students by providing them practical exposure on live projects which will lead to increase in University placements, Sandhu told.

Dr. A K Tyagi, Associate Director, Engg. Wing SBS STC Ferozepur appreciated the efforts made by PTU for extending Training support to its students. He wished good luck to all the students participating in the fest. He said that SBS STC is glad to serve as a hub for all the regional students from PTU affiliated colleges, bringing the best Companies within their reach and aspires to work for the betterment of the society.
