Four persons have been arrested on the grounds of racial attack against Indians in Canada. They are charged with assault with a weapon, robbery, causing physical harm and uttering threats.
SIX INDIANS were racially assaulted by four white Canadians on the outskirts of Vancounver in Canada on Tuesday. Indians playing tennis during the weekend, became victims of a racial assault by four white Canadians at Langley.
The four suspects that included three men and one woman approached them and started shouting 'racially based expletives'. The suspects attempted to enter the tennis court which was barricaded by the tennis players. They forced their way into the tennis court and intimidated the victims until they were backed into a corner. One of the suspects threw a fence board at the group of tennis players hitting one of them in the head.
Before leaving, the assailants snatched the personal belongings of the victims. The police said that they were arrested and belongings of the Indians recovered. The suspects were formally charged with assault with a weapon, robbery, causing physical harm and uttering threats.
The Indians attacked belonged to city of Abbotsford.
