Correspondent | 08 Dec 2013

Leaders of various religions and denominations will gather on December eight in Reno (Nevada, USA) in memory of Nobel laureate Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, who died on December five in Johannesburg.

According to distinguished religious statesman Rajan Zed, this multi-faith service will include prayers and reflections by Christian (various denominations), Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Baha’i, etc., leaders. Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, says that we, various religions of Nevada, are joining in paying tributes to Mandela, 95, who set a milestone for the world with his efforts in pluralism, common ground, equality, color-blindness and coexistence.

This interfaith service, to be held in Reno Buddhist Center starting at two pm, is open to all.
