the article discusses the news about the govt's latest educational data, which discusses that there has been a steady rise in the number of girls into the schools.

There have been practices to increase the number of girl child’s admission in schools since long time. Though not at very fast rate but is has been implemented.
The Human Resource Development Ministry on January 26, 2011 released the latest government data in the educational scenario in India. The figures reflect some positive trends. According to statistics, gender discrimination in Indian schools is reducing and the number of girl students is rising. But the total number of students in primary schools has dropped and government school teacher are increasingly being poached by private schools.
The fraction of girls enrolled in primary school has increased from 48.38 percent in 2008-09 to 48.46 percent in 2009-10, the fraction of Muslim girls has also increased.
The statistics however have also flagged areas of concern. The total enrolment in primary schools has dropped, even as the country implements the Right to Education Act that aims to put all children between 6 and 14 in school. Children are also shifting from government to private schools. But,no matter what,it is all good for future as per study is concerned be it from govt.school or private, because at the end of the day what matters the most is children are getting educated not the institutions.
