RK Hak Assumes Charge as Director Fire and Emergency Services

Jammu, March 01: Sh Rajinder Kumar Hak today assumed charge as Director Fire and Emergency Services J&K, consequent upon the retirement of Er R S Sodhi as HOD.

Hak assumed the charge today following Govt orders and was accorded warm welcome at Jammu; A Guard of honor was presented at Fire and Emergency service Headquarters Gandhi Nagar headed by Divisional Fire Officer Sh Rajinder Sadhu, under the supervision of Sh Chander Peshin I/c Deputy Director Command Jammu. Sh R T Dubey Joint Director Jammu Range received Sh R K Hak and alongwith various command officers including Medical officer Jammu, AD Udhampur, P K Bhat, AD Doda/Kishtwar, Sh G L Pandita, AD Kathua Sh S C Verma and DFO City Sh T K Raina. A grand reception was organized by the staff of Directorate Fire and Emergency services headed by Sh Tej Lal Raina Accounts officer, Sh Mohd Maqbool Thoker Administrative Officer, Sh Gulzar Ahmad Mir i/c DFO-M, Sh Bilal Ahmad Shah STO-S, Kanwal Peshin SO, Sh G S Mehta AAO, Sh Rattan Raina, Farooq Ah Dar, Sh Gh Mohd Lone, Firdous Ahmad, Ab Rashid, Ab Rehman, and other staff members.

Speaking on the occasion Hak said, Shortage of Man power due to unfilled vacancies is a big issue in the department, adding he knows how much difficulty a Fireman has to face, and assured that he would try to do justice with the genuine demands of the fireman. He further added that whatever was within his competence shall be implemented very soon. All of us need to work for the betterment of the Department which belongs to all of us.
