There happens frequent altercation between passengers and autowala, hawkers and small business men and the common people for Five Rupee Coins/ paper currency. The Auto wala/small Business men do not accept one and two rupee printed notes.
Many people requested the Local Government and the RBI to do some thing to solve the problem. But their letters in news paper coloumns are not attracting the concerned authorities attention.
It is reliably learnt that people are collecting coins of fifty paise, one, two and five rupees to smuggle to Bangaldesh where they use it for making Razor Blades.
Another information is that people are collecting five rupee coin/ paper currencies and Auto walas and Small business people pay them Rs. 550 for every hundred rupee /coins/notes. The above said matters are the main reason for the scacrity of the currency in Agartala and other parts of the state.
The Local Government and the RBI should immediately intervene to stop this.
