Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Tech Campus organizes Poly Wing Premier League

The two Day super sixes Cricket Tournament PPL (Poly Wing Premier League) which was successfully organised at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technial Campus, Ferozepur (Punjab) jointly by ACHIEVER’S Society of ECE Department of Poly Wing and ACES Society of Computer Engineering Department of Poly Wing came to an end with glittering prize distribution ceremony. Prof Gazal Preet Singh, Principal Polytechnic Wing was Chief Guest during the closing ceremony.

Red Buls team from boys won the overall trophy in which 32 teams competed with each other. RED BULLS team defeated the YOUNGEST WARRIOR’S of final year ECE by four wickets. The captain of winner team was Gurwinder Singh from third year Mechanical Engineering of Polytechnic Wing. Harmeet Singh was adjudged Man of the Match in the Final Match. 

ECE PLUS CE ROCK STAR Team from girls category won the Champion’s trophy by defeating WAMPIRE team by 22 runs. The captain of winner team was Harpanthparteek Kaur from first year ECE. She was also awarded with Man of the Match award the Final Match.

On the persistent demand of students, one friendly match was also played between faculty and RED BULLS team which was champion of the tournament. 

One leisure match between staff and faculty was also played during the tournament. The team led by Mr Ashok Kumar, Senior Asst defeated the opponent team captained by Mr Arun Chander, Supt Poly Wing by three wickets.

Prof Gazal Preet Arneja, Principal Poly Wing congratulated both the boys and girls teams. He praised the efforts of Prof Gurjeevan Singh, Chairperson of ACHIEVER’S Society and Madam Anuradha, Chairperson of ACES team. He specially congratulated Lakshay and Lovish from third year ECE and Anish Goyal of third year Computer Engineering, the society presidents of both societies. He pinned hope that the Achievers and ACES society will keep on organising such events successfully in future also. Finally, Champions Trophy was given to both the winning teams of boys and girls. Medals and trophies were also given to faculty and student organisers of the event.
