Shri Ram Sena makes suggestions for road safety in J&K

Mahajan appealed to the passengers, who frequently commute by mini buses in Jammu city to board in the buses at particular stops and not to over-load the buses which cause many difficulties to the passengers and pose a higher risk of accidents.

IN A meeting held at Shri Ram Sena office in Jammu, Rajiv Mahajan the State President of Shri Ram Sena, Jammu and Kashmir said that old commercial vehicles which are in deteriorated condition and not fit for operation are being allowed to operate by the traffic Police in Jammu, which is contrary to the Motor Vehicles Rules.
 
He has also said that recently an accident took place at B.C Road Jammu, in which some of the students were severely injured because the vehicle which was being driven was an old vehicle.

Mahajan has als
o said that at the new general bus stand, there are many vehicles on B.C Road which are illegally parked thus causing traffic jams. He has suggested that the Police should mark the road with yellow line to allow some of the vehicles to cross through this yellow line to avoid the traffic jam.

He has also suggested the administration not to allow the old vehicles which are 15 years old to be operated and such operators of these commercial vehicles should be brought to the books under Motor Vehicles Rules. Rajiv Mahajan has also observed that some private school buses are also of old model in which the students travel, such buses should be heavily challaned.
