Spread awareness about AIDS to stop it
Sammi | 12 Dec 2010

There are many non-government oganisations (NGOs) and other organisations which are enrolling their participants to all activities to spread awareness about AIDS among the people. But we still have not achieved the required goal.

ONE OF the most dangerous diseases which is spreading all over the country very immensely and we are discussing just because to make you understand why and how this disease is rooting its dead leg in India; this is the disease which is increasing patients and deaths. In India, now we are responsible for what is going to happen next.

This is 21st century, now India is on its extreme economic power and also making a respected place in the international market. If we are so much educated then, why in our country, rate of aids patient is growing by doubles every year, and the worst part is that the cases of HIV infected people are more from the cities rather than in villages. Government has to take up some measures with positive result not only on the pages but also in reality.

December 1 is observed as World AIDS Day, not to just have a red ribbon on the chest. It is for making us aware, our society and country how to stop this death causing disease.

National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) is giving their tremendous effort to make people aware about HIV/AIDS.

There are many non-government oganisations (NGOs) and other organisation which are enrolling their participants to all activities to spread awareness about AIDS among the people. But we still have not achieved the required goal.

As of today, only 13 per cent of HIV positive people in the country are aware of their HIV status.
The challenge before NACO is to make all HIV infected people in the country aware of their status so that they could adopt a healthy lifestyle; access life-saving care and treatment and help prevent further transmission of HIV. Thus, counselling and testing services are important components of prevention and control of HIV/AIDS in the country.

Youth has to play an important role in it. Youth has to join more and more NGOs and spread awareness and also spread the energy which every youth has within. Youth is the key to change the thought of people.
