A girl student allegedly faces psychological disadvantages due to wrong evaluation in Odisha.
MOTHER OF a student named Prachi Pragyan Gouda who had appeared in the plus two examinations, through a letter to the Controller of Examinations alleged that her daughter was losing self confidence and facing psychological disadvantage due to the wrong evaluation.
At a press meet here in the city on Monday, Pragyan along with her mother briefed the media persons while displaying all the photo copies of the answer sheet and question sets in order to appraise the grave matter.
Pragyan informed that she had appeared in Plus 2 science stream (Roll No; 321 EA 218) through the Khallikote College of Berhampur in Odiha and has got only 47 in the English compulsory paper and 67 in the alternative English paper.
She then asked for the photocopies of the answer sheets and through those papers (Compulsory English) came to know that she deserved 25 marks more as some learned persons had gone through the papers and opined positively.
She also alleged that the evaluator casually evaluated the paper and did not look into question No 7 and 8 of the alternative English paper. Consequently, zero marks have been awarded for those two answers.
Pragyan along with her mother told the media persons that they had requested the Controller of Examinations (CHSE, Odisha) for the verification of the scripts by three Readers. Moreover, they have appealed to review the answer scripts by other experienced examiners to give justice and also to hundreds of innocent minds in future.
