Kidnapped businessman found killed
Four days after being abducted from Dimapur, the dead body of Prasanjit Dhar, a businessman from Dimapur was found today from Khatkhati area in the Assam-Nagaland border today. Prasanjit Dhar who also known as Paul, was taken away by five persons that include three non-Nagas from the businessman's house located at Lhumti colony in Dimapur at around 7 am on Thursday, according to reports. Reports said intensive search operations were carried out by the police. Inspite of the police stringent move to rescue the Dimapur businessman, the dead body of Prasanjit was found dumped in a place this morning with the victim's throat slit.
In an emergency meeting held at Hotel Saramati today, the Dimapur Business Community along with Interim Body for Dimapur Chamber of Commerce resolved that a business delegation would approach the district administrations on the atrocities to the business community of Dimapur. And would appraised about the development on regard to the crime. After which, they would hold another meeting the same day for its own course of action, if the administration seem to fail to nap/booked the responsible person/groups.
Meanwhile, they also have strongly condemned the killing and said that business people can voluntarily close down their shops to pay homage to the departed soul and show solidarity to the bereaved family.
