The Castle of Cards

A poem expressing concern on global warming and danger to environment

A poem expressing concern on global warming and danger to environment

The dreadful dreams of daring Man,
Devouring more than what he can.
The dawns are gloomy the nights are black,
The shining stars would never come back.

The dome would sink in the melting sky,
The deepest oceans going to dry.
Gardeners dying carpenters bloom,
The world is running towards a doom.

The trembling globe gives wakeup call,
“The universe vast the man is small.
Wake up! Wake up! Wake up fool!
Cool down! Cool down! Cool down, cool!

The daggers drawn, the pile of bomb,
The world reflects a ‘to be tomb,’
The creeping crowd of cruel concrete,
Murky machines the fission and heat.

All your enemies gather around,
Like the lamb and hunting hound.
The castle of cards will sink so steep,
The lovely moon would no more peep.”
