The great exodus: a painful incident of Chakma community

Due to brutal repression unleased against them & after the land went to water - Kaptai dam about 35,000 Chakmas & Hajongs were migrated from East Pakistan & settled NEFA present now Arunachal pradesh between 1964-69 under the arrangement made under the PM of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi had granted the migration certificates.

Due to brutal repression unleased against them & after the land went to water, kaptai dam about 35,000 Chakmas & Hajongs were migrated from East Pakistan & settled NEFA present now Arunachal pradesh b/w 1964-69 under the arrangement made under the PM of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi had granted the mkgration certificates.
 
On that painful incident lots of chakmas are lost their lands,houses, & many members within families mother, father, brothers, sisters & their relatives were separated during great exodus(bor porong) with their tutorial voice. On those days they does not know where road will take to them as they gave last glimpse to their villages.they travelled for days on bare foot.
 
Finally they arrived in NEFA present now Arunachal pradesh but still chakmas people of that state areb not in peace. 48 years has been passed of chakmas in Arunachal pradesh but still they have no any right & consider as a refugee. they do not get any facilities from Central Govenment or State Government.
