Udaan, as the name suggests is a movie about freedom and flight to follow dreams by breaking the chains of primitive thoughts and prescribed paths.
The movie recently received an award in the Best Movie category in FILMFARE, which was truly deserved. Vikramaditya Motwane also won the award for the most promising director.

Udaan is a story about Rohan (Rajat Barmecha) a 16 year old boy who returns to his abusive and authoritative father (Ronit Roy) after being expelled from his boarding school and gets the shock of his life after meeting his Half Brother (Aayan Boradia) . The protagonist wants to become a writer but is forced to pursue engineering. The story follows the struggle and hardships that Rohan has to face to give life to his dream of becoming a writer.

The song ‘Aazadiyaan’ composed by Amit Trivedi is yet another song that has the potential to inspire the youngsters.

This low budget movie has clearly left deep patches on the minds and hearts of people to look beyond the horizons and to take the paths that are not taken by many.
