Unity march in Paris against terrorism showed unprecedented show of strength

A massive rally for unity was held In Paris on January 10, three days after the horrific terror attacks that shocked the humanity, was attended by around 3.3M people, reported Rajasthan Patrika this morning. The security in Paris and other cities all over France was beefed up and security men are guarding the religious places and school buildings.

The heads of state of 48 countries and various religious leaders participated in the unity rally that stressed the need for peaceful coexistence and freedom of expression. The rally chanted with the slogan "We are Charlie!". In many cities across the world, the similar unity rallies were held as a show of solidarity with France and resistance against terrorism that does not have any religion

In the three days of terror attacks in Paris, 17 people and three gunmen were killed. The terror attacks were witnessed on a satirical newspaper, police and a Jewish Kosher supermarket. Meanwhile, the French Police is searching for its most wanted terrorist woman linked to the three terrorists that struck in Paris. It is being held that the most wanted woman terrorist had left for Turkey and then to Syria in the first week of January.

To uphold the freedom of expression, Charlie Hebdo has planned a special edition of their periodical on coming Wednesday and money is being raised to continue its publishing. It is being said that it will be the bumper edition of the weekly to be sold in millions as a tribute to the slain cartoonists.
